Attention everyone... Please gather around and listen up... I GOT A NEW LENS! Heck yeah! I'm so excited! It's one of those big mack daddy lenses that's like a foot long and weighs five pounds. It's ridiculous. But it's awesome! For you camera nerds, it's the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII. But you camera nerds probably could have already guessed. I received it Monday night and took it straight to the game on Tuesday. I have almost no idea what I'm doing with it, so I'm sure things will improve. But I can already tell a huge difference in the pictures. They rock!

In other news, the Thrashers had a game! Haha! No, really, it's been like an emotional roller coaster. We squeak out a win on Thursday, get totally blown out 8 to 1 on Saturday, have a rockin' Casino Night on Sunday, then win 6 to 1 on Tuesday. I'm worn out!

Toby Enstrom was on the program for the evening. Tobeh! Yes!		I put it in automatic mode for warm-ups, cause I have no idea what to expect out of this lens. Picture # 1 and Boulton can't keep his tongue in his mouth.		It looks like Bogo is telling Schubert about his hair products. "No, I just use mousse on mine."		Speaking of Moose...		This is kinda blurry (bear with me for a while), but it looks like a swiping sort of a poke check.
Max takes a swing.		Kane skates the puck in.		Schubi and Little.		For some odd reason, a bank of the lights on our side was left on during the opening line-ups. It gave me a sweet opportunity to catch some rarely seen action.		Some Swedish action.
The obligatory Pavs in the spotlight picture.		The youth hockey player. They're so cute, cause they're so small next to these guys. I particularly enjoy seeing the tiny goalies.		It's probably unpatriotic to take pictures during the national anthem, but they never leave this light on! I sit through them every other time!		A topless Pavelec.		More national anthem fun.
Opening face-off!		My first action shot, and I must say, it's a winner. We scored not long after this. I wish I'd gotten that too!		The discussions got started early. I love this face!		Not too many punches thrown, just kind of a struggling around.		And it ends like almost all of Valabik's fights. On the ground.
The Stance.		There's a lot going on here. Pavelec is playing the puck. He gets stuck behind the net because of the crowd. People panic. Schubert shoves Jonathan Cheechoo into the boards.		Pavelec scurries to get back to the net and Schubert turns to see what the ref is yelling about.		Some discussions ensue and Cheechoo sells the drama.		Say "bye" to Schubert. He's been a bad boy and is asked to leave the party.
Not really much going on here, just some general hockey action.		Bogosian works to keep Chris Neil off the score sheet.		Pavelec says, "Get out of my house!"		Whitey is down! He limped off for a while, but eventually came back and then scored. What the heck was that all about?		Ah yes, better pictures of the goalies on break.
Pascal Leclaire, doing some stretches.		And making some saves.		More saves.		Kovy in mid-shot.		Toby, keeping it in the zone.
How come all these saves are on Max?		Goal number three is brought to you by Ilya Kovalchuk.		Second period and Brian Elliott is put in Leclaire's place. He would fare no better.		Pavs makes a dramatic save.		Boulton and Neil exchange words.
The ref tries to break it up.		But no, this party is on. Another great fight face!		And another! Hahaha!		Neil catches Boultsy with a leftie.		But Boulton proceeds to knock the crap out of him.
That's about to hurt.		This was a brutal fight. Punches flying everywhere. But all good things must come to an end.		Pavs makes a save. Really, though, he looks like he sees a spider on Slater's jersey.		Kovy tries to sneak up on the puck.		Now, he looks like he's growling at Volchenkov.
Elliott has his own weird stretches.		The puck evades Reasoner and Picard.		Kozlov nearly got in a fight. Yes, Kozlov. I was scared.		But all the other boys came to his rescue.		Kovy plays the puck.
Pavelec made another dramatic rolling save. It was awesome. I wish I'd gotten more than just the beginning of it.		I know he's thinking, "Ooh! Ooh! Wide open net!" But it wasn't to be.		Hainsey and Foligno struggle along the boards.		Virginia was one of the Zamboni riders for the second intermission. She was like a queen on parade! :)		Mark Popovic was the only player in the suite.
Weird. Didn't we do this picture already?		Not with Bogo, we didn't!		Pad save! Wait. It looks like Kelly is gonna pee on him.		Bogo feels safe in there.		Thorburn fights for the puck.
Slater and Donovan feel like dancing.		Boulton and Neil again? Wow.		Kozlov winds up.		Sometimes they fall down and go boom.		Kozlov fires!
Pavs, after the save.		We win! It's a goalie love fest. I just missed the Kozlov chin punch. I'ma try to get it next time.		6 to 1! I like how that feels, being on the winning side.		Chris Thorburn was our third star. Eric Boulton was the second star, but didn't come out for some reason.		Pavelec was the first star. He got his first career assist!
He presented a 10 year season ticket holder with a game stick. He signed it for him while he was out there. Yeah, I'm jealous.		Boulton was the Taco Mac post game show guest. Look at him, being all smiley and stuff! He scored his first power play goal!		Note the bag of ice taped to his elbow. It was good to see him throw down the gloves again. It's been a while.		Before he got on the air, he was asked what he really thought of Chris Neil. He said carefully, "He's a good competitor."		He's got boo-boos on his knuckles too. Haha! Go Thrashers!
